Beletage is situated on Leisure Island in the lagoon of Knysna. Bollards Beach is 500 metres from the property. The apartments feature a seating and dining area with a flat-screen satellite TV. One unit offers a sunken, furnished patio with barbecue facilities and the other unit has a balcony overlooking the park. Beletage is situated on Leisure Isle, an small island in the middle of the Knysna Lagoon with easy access via a causeway . The island is a very laid back, safe and tranquil place for your holiday. With only two self catering apartments you are guaranteed personal service and a very peaceful and quiet stay. Both apartments either have a balcony or a patio with BBQ facilities ( a " Braai" is a favourite part of South african life) We offer free bikes and a canoe to explore the island and the lagoon.

John and Gudi designed and built the house themselves in 2016. Basically Gudi showed John a picture of a lovely french style villa and said " this is what I want" and John designed it for them. Gudi has been involved in tourism since her arrival in South Africa from Germany in 1985 and John has worked all over the world as a project manager. They both enjoy travelling and one of their highlights was a trip through Africa 3 years ago with their 4x4 and a tent. They were always curious what kind of accommodation they would find at the end of a day and in this spirit created self catering apartments which will make the traveller feel like coming home after a long day exploring.

Leisure Isle is a very special place in Knysna. A small island in the middle of the Knysna Lagoon with wonderful beaches, a Nature reserve, Tennis court and Country Club and beautiful scenery everywhere. Two restaurants are within walking distance , a boat club a short cycle ride away ( free bikes). Take the canoe out for a leisurely paddle around the lagoon or enjoy a day on Knysna's only beach
