Guests can enjoy swimming and fishing in the clear, unpolluted river, bring their mountain bikes or take on the hiking routes by foot. Children enjoy the farm animals and playing in the river with tubes. In spring time wild flowers carpet the landscape into a spectacular display. With around 1000 trees over 11 hectares Boskloof Swemgat is home to an abundance of bird life.

The farm Boskloof Swemgat is situated about 10 km from Clanwilliam in the Boskloof Valley, a magnificent unspoiled area, bordering on the Cederberg Wilderness Area. The Jan Dissels River flows through the valley and the farm was named after a favourite rock pool the river forms in the middle of the land "Swemgat". The accommodation is self-catering with warm farm style hospitality. Cottages are set along the river banks with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Four thatch-roofed cottages, 2 corrugated iron-roofed and 1 prefab cottage offer fully equipped kitchens, full bathrooms, bed linen and bath towels are provided. Most of the cottages have indoor fireplaces and all have outside braai facilities. Two cottages have a private Jacuzzi. Wood and homemade products are for sale at the kiosk for your convenience.

It is the ideal place for a family getaway, a romantic weekend, or some peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, as there is limited cell phone and internet reception. Cottages are equipped with free unlimited Wi-Fi. A tranquil environment for anyone looking to get some work done.
