Braeview Guesthouse is well situated only 150 metres from the famous cliff path near the harbour in the quiet, old suburb of Hermanus called Westcliff, with wide open spaces and parks. Braeview offers 2 luxury self-catering units ensuring a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The Family Unit is elegantly furnished and decorated. The Unit sleeps 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms fitted with both shower and bath. Guests have access to a lounge, fully equipped kitchen a beautiful garden and a patio with barbeque facilities. The Stone Cottage is spacious, sunny and tasteful. Separated from the Family Unit the Cottage comprises 1 big room with en-suite bathroom and kitchenette and is fully equipped to accommodate 4 people. It has its own private patio with barbeque facilities leading into the garden. Braeview Guesthouse is child-friendly. Guests have access to all DSTV channels and Wi-Fi. Secure parking is provided. Braeview is within walking distance from restaurants and conveniently close to all shops. A short stroll down to the cliffs may surprise guests with the fascinating sight of whales playing with their offspring only metres away. Guests are welcomed by the hosts, Fanie and Erina de Jager. They have a vast knowledge of the Greater Overstrand Area as well as the Western Cape in general. They take pleasure in assisting guests, especially foreign guests, with the planning of the route to their next destination and sight seeing and excursions along the way.

Hermanus is known worldwide for the whales that visit our shores from June to December every year. Very often whales can be seen 20 to 30 metres from the cliffs 150 metres from Braeview Guesthouse. The New Harbour is a 10 minute stroll away from where sunset cruises depart every evening. Also in the New Harbour are 3 restaurants to choose from. To visit the town centre you have a choice between a 2 minute trip by car OR a 25 minute walk along the very popular cliff path. The Old Harbour offers all sorts of interesting shops and museums to visit. Art shops and top class restaurants are scattered throughout the town. There are numerous hiking trails to choose from along the sea and in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve. Our Blue flag beaches are famous and very popular amongst guests who prefer swimming or surfing.
