Thabazimbi is located in the Waterberg region and has a fascinating history. The name means “mountain of iron”, since iron ore was discovered in the area in 1919. The scenic Marakele National Park is nestled in the heart of the Waterberg Mountains, known for its landscapes and wildlife, including rhinos and elephants. Ask our staff about the nearest sites for activities such as hiking, angling, and 4x4 trails, or meander through the nearby towns and visit coffee shops and craft markets.
