Carmel Villa B&B is 3-Star Rated by the Tourism Grading Council of SA (TGCSA) in the Bed & Breakfast category. Self-catering cottages are also available.
Carmel Villa guests say that the Victorian Main House is the prettiest house in Calvinia and is known as "Calvinia's Monument of Love"! Carmel Villa was built in 1904 - Come visit us and read the beautiful love story of how this historic house was built by a young man for his beautiful bride to be. Most of the original wood, brookie lace and stained glass still in tact. This is a different experience from your normal standard hotel or lodge room and it is not that often that you can stay at accommodation where you take a trip down "history" lane.
