Club Hacienda lies in between the Indian Ocean and Marine Drive in Shelly Beach, close to the Shelly Centre and around the corner form the Shelley Beach Ski Boat Club, about 112 km from Durban. The property comprises of 17 duplex apartments, and is within walking distance to all the attractions of this holiday village. Close proximity to the main road makes Club Hacienda ideally located for families looking to explore the South Coast. Anglers and fans of scuba diving will love the easy access to the beachfront, while couples delight in the private relaxation afforded by this tranquil resort. Upstairs balconies provide the perfect stage from which to admire glittering sunrises over the ocean or to watch the ski-boats dashing off for their day’s labour. The Shelly Beach Ski Boat base is the launching point for both deep-sea fishing charters along with diving expeditions and it is interesting to take a walk down to this spot in the afternoon to admire the catches of the day. Although Shelly Beach has no lifeguards, you can still enjoy splashing in the shallows, lounging in the tidal pool or working on your tan along these shores.

Neighbourhood information

The Hibiscus Coast is one of South Africa’s most popular holiday destinations and for good reason. The number one attraction along this vibey coastal strip are the safe swimming beaches which offer hours of fun most months of the year, with pumping surf and playful dolphins frolicking in the waves, while rocky outcrops and abundant sea life provide hours of entertainment. During peak seasons the beaches are alive with competitions, shows and concerts, while during quieter times they provide a tranquil spot to sun yourself to your heart’s content. Protea Banks, just off Shelley Beach is a diver’s delight, and a great place to mingle with underwater creatures such as ragged-toothed sharks and other interesting specimens. The Wild Coast Sun is filled with excitement, providing gambling, water-skiing, live entertainment and exquisite eateries to enjoy, both day and night, along with an 18-hole championship golf course. There are also plenty of other opportunities to sink a putt along this stretch of coast, also known as the Golf Coast, from the lush Selborne Golf Estate, Hotel and Spa in Pennington, to the challenging Southbroom course, just over the bridge from Wild Coast Sun.
