A cosy little home in the center of the village, minutes away from the restaurants and shops. Cooks is an ideal base for exploring the winelands. Two main bedrooms and a bunk room for children accommodates 4 adults and 2 children in total; open plan living room, dining room and kitchen; a contained garden and plunge pool.
Guests feel at home here, which is an important factor. The home has a personal touch with old artefacts and maps of the region. It is wonderful in summer as well as winter (with a wood-burning fire).
Recently described as one of South Africa’s most beautiful spots with a picture-postcard village, 45 minutes from Cape Town. If you are going to choose one place as your base, Franschhoek should be it.
