Cosy Cottage is a delightful self-catering garden flat in the sleepy town of Sedgefield.The flat consists of a bedroom with a double bed, as well as an electric blanket for those chilly nights. The unit also has a bathroom with a bath and a shower. The kitchen is equipped with a stove and mini oven, a microwave and a fridge-freezer.There is a tumble drier available in the garage if required. Barbeque or 'Braai' facilities are available. A sleeper couch is available in the lounge, which also has a TV with NETFLIX and a DVD player. Secure lock up parking is available on the property and the flat is located within close proximity to all shops and approximately 2 km from the beaches. It is totally private and separate from the main house.
My husband Denis and I are both retired. I was a pharmacist and Denis worked in the transport sector. We both love the outdoors , gardening and reading. I also enjoy cooking and baking. We have two dogs, staffordshire bull terriers. They enjoy it when we take them to the beach and they can run to their hearts content.
Situated in the Garden Route, Sedgefield is the ideal town to stay while exploring the surrounding areas. Situated on the Swartvlei Lagoon, activities such as canoeing, fishing, and swimming can be enjoyed, as well as bird watching. Several hiking trails are available in the area, such as the 8 km Goukamma Nature Reserve Circuit, the 4km Lake Trail, and the 14 km Goukamma-Groenvlei trail. Guests have a choice of beaches, but caution is advised due to the strong currents. Sedgefield also has a horse-riding center that caters for all riders, and every Saturday morning on the outskirts of the town there is the award winning Wild Oats Market, which is a famous farmers' market selling lots of fresh local produce. The Mosaic market and Scarab markets are adjacent to the Wild oats market, both are real treasure troves for bargain hunters as well as lovers of arts and crafts.
