Everton Molweni walking/running trail
This very scenic 3 kilometre nature trail winds its way alongside the Molweni River upstream from Acutts Road bridge, through riverine forest to Everton Falls. At the Falls the trail crosses the river and meanders back to the bridge. It takes approximately an hour to walk the trail.
If you walk quietly you may see some of the following mammals: Bushpig, Bushbuck, Grey Duiker, Blue Duiker (the smallest of all duiker species), Water Mongoose and Caracal, amongst others. Flitting around in the trees or soaring way above you will be Crowned Eagle, Knysna Turaco, Mountain Wagtail, Narina Trogon, Green Twinspots and many more.
And if you look very carefully you will see numerous butterflies and moths and maybe even the rare Pinkfooted millipede that occurs only in this region, or the endangered Kloof frog.
Please note the have two very friendly rescue dogs, and one rescue cat, that are considered family.
