De Hoop is an active commercial fruit - and wine farm. We are the fourth generation to farm and still value old world charm. Come and experience fruit picking from December and the harvesting of grapes from the beginning of February and how we sun dry fruit like peaches, pears, prunes and hanepoot raisins .
In 2001 we started Rietdakkie Farmstall as an outlet for our fresh - and dried fruit. Since then it has become an outlet for the unique products of our community. Cellar tours can be arranged at Botha Wine Cellar.
Rian and Maryke enjoy mingling with people from different origins. We love traveling and the out doors: hiking, cycling and camping.
You get the country side feeling in the Breedekloof with real farm hospitality . It is off the beaten track and non commercial.
We are only 3km from the famous Bosjes Restaurant and Function/Wedding Venue with a lovely tea garden. Guided walks can be arranged through the gardens. Well known wine farms in our area are: Bergsig, Botha, Opstal and Jason's Hill just to mention a few.
