De Pakhuys is a working olive farm in the heart of the Cederberg, 26 km from Clanwilliam on the Pakhuys Pass. Set among dramatic sandstone cliffs and boulders, the farm offers self-catering cottages and glamping tents with wide-open views, big skies and some of the best stargazing in South Africa. Guests can swim in the farm dam and natural rock pools, relax at the shared swimming pool, or explore several walking trails on the property. Rocklands’ famous bouldering areas are a short drive away, and day trips to waterfalls and nearby towns are easy from the farm. All accommodation is self-catering with a private braai (BBQ) area, a well-equipped kitchenette or kitchen, and indoor or outdoor seating to enjoy the views. Linen and towels are provided.
Relaxed and easy going
The area is also know as Rocklands, one of the top climbing/bouldering destinations in the world today. Every winter we are packed with climbers from all over the world enjoying what the Cederberg has plenty off - ROCK! The Cederberg is also well know as the only region in the world where Rooibos Tea is grown.
