This is NOT a suitable venue for parties or gatherings due to the tranquil nature of the neighbourhood. Kitty is your hands-on but unobtrusive host at the guest house and will gladly assist with advice, information and bookings for Knysna and the Garden Route during your stay. We give you the options – you make the choices. Bella and Marble are the resident hound dogs – our loveable young companions. Young and boisterous and lively - full of energy, love and silliness – both love people and are part of the family and part of the property - they rule the roost, protect the people and property, provide love and entertainment and are professional beggars. Sorry – no other pets allowed by order of our own furry friends.

Upper Old Place is a quiet suburb, set back from the N2 and is peaceful and quiet with amazing views over the Lagoon and Knysna Heads. We are close enough to town - approx 5/10 minutes for shops, restaurants, galleries, activities etc. and only 10 minutes to the Knysna Heads and outlying forest walks and excursions. We are very conveniently situated for visiting so many world renowned and wonderful places along the Garden Route. Indigenous and exotic trees and plants attract birds, bees and butterflies and the stars light up the vast night skies.
