We are an off grid eco establishment for conscious travellers. With two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, open plan kitchen, an art studio/workspace, wood fired hot tub/tiny pool & a BBQ area. The house has unspoiled mountain views and forest walking trails to a stunning river plus gorgeous beaches 15 minutes away. Our dream - a space for you to retreat into nature, to tap into your creativity and to unwind surrounded by nature, explore the forest, swim in the river. The space El Sueño mountain retreat is a newly built wooden home surrounded by fynbos and indigenous forest with unspoiled mountain views. The windows were all reclaimed and restored and the house has been decorated intentionally, to maximise relaxation and encourage connection with nature. The balcony leads down to a built in braai/bbq area with wooden seating and the wood fired hot tub on another deck nearby. There are paths into the forest and down to the river directly from the house. Eclectic vintage furniture inspired by our travels adorns the main living area and bedrooms and we have carefully curated each of the many spaces to enjoy in our home: from the gorgeous 6-8 seater island in the lounge to the Balinese day bed under the beautiful sash window, to the red light lamps for night time relaxation in the bedrooms and living area. The art studio or works space has an easel and writing desk and the hot tub has stunning fynbos, forest and mountain views. All our linen is 100% cotton and bamboo and our mattresses are eco friendly, memory foam and other organic layers, without springs to reduce conduction of harmful EMFs. Our pillows are bamboo and down and duvets are duck down. We have rain water for drinking and bathing and borehole water in the hot tub. The farm is run on solar.

After traveling the world and living and working in many different countries, we now call The Garden Route in South Africa, home. We live in the forest, close to the ocean, surrounded by mountains. I am an author, chef and photographer and my partner, Samuel is a musician. We cannot wait to welcome you to this beautiful part of the world.
