Franmarel is set in the heart of beautiful Plettenberg Bay and overlooks the wonderful Tsitsikamma Mountain range and the bay and lagoon of Plettenberg Bay. We are very centrally situated, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. After a day soaking up the sun and the many activities in and around Plettenberg Bay you can relax on our covered patio and open deck with a glass of wine and admire the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, sea and lagoon before you stroll into town for a lovely meal at some of the best restaurants on the Garden Route. There is a cozy lounge with fireplace and our small library offers reading to everyone's tastes. The common area also has a small fridge, microwave and toaster for the use of our guests. Braai facilities are available on request. Our legendary breakfasts includes international continental platters as well as the usual English/Irish breakfast options all accompanied by warm personal service and is served on the deck overlooking the wonderful view or in our cozy dining area should the weather not be the best. Our comfortable rooms ensure a good night's rest. Free wi-fi is available as well as secure off-street parking. We are not subject to loadshedding and operates off-grid to a large extend.

We also love meeting new people and making them feel welcome in our little part of paradise, Plettenberg Bay.
Plettenberg Bay is called the jewel of the Garden Route and boasts 5 Blue Flag beaches. We have everything that nature can provide, from mountains, challenging to easy walking/hiking trails, game watching, dolphin and whale watching. There are encounters with game such as elephants, monkeys, cheetas, birds, snakes, wolves, at the surrounding game farms. There are wine tastings, prize winning restaurants, and interesting markets and shops for that special gift to take home. The people are warm and friendly and very helpful towards our visitors. For adrenalin junkies there are skydiving, the world's highest bungy jump, surfing, diving, mountain bike routes and deep sea fishing. Our climate is temperate which makes Plettenberg Bay suitable for visiting all year round. We are approximately 22km from Birds of Eden and Monkeyland and a 13 minute drive to the famous Robberg Nature Reserve.
