Parking might be an issue if you do not like to consider other people. We cannot change this. The space developed with our needs and the driveway was always long and narrow. It parks 4 cars, but unfortunately behind each other. We make arrangements ahead of time to keep it uncomplicated. You might enjoy the lush and overgrown garden and the singing of our birds. If you are sound/noise sensitive, the parrots might bother you before sunset and at sunrise. During the day they usually provide a background hum that can be compared to the sounds you would hear in a rain forest. We cannot guarantee that the place is always quiet. Sometimes it is. The alleyway to the Little Roundhouse might not be suitable for someone who is obese or old and moves with difficulty. Some guests have complained that the Little Roundhouse is just too small for their liking. It might be too cramped for two guests or when you would like to stay there for a few days. The Little Roundhouse is in our backyard and during the day (8h00-17h00) there is movement of the cleaners and the people feeding the parrots. The washing lines are in the vicinity and this might not be acceptable if you do not like to see washing. We have optimized the space and utilized it maximally. If you would not like to see any person or movement, then this is not the space for you. It might feel like people are in your space. If you find all the above to be issues of no concern, we are sure you would find the space very unique and enjoyable. Please note our cancellation policy. Please do not arrive and then look surprised and demand your money back. We will not accommodate you. We love our Little Roundhouse and you might too. Many before you loved this unique experience. Please do not give us comments like misleading, photos are untruthful, it looks different... Everything you see was photographed in our yard and like nature changes with the seasons, our garden does as well. This is not our fault.
Welcome, dear Guest! We are honored that you consider our space for your stay. It used to be our home and everything we did here was created with love and care. The space grew with our own needs and then eventually our family outgrew the space and we needed a bigger house. We find that some guests love it, but others are totally displeased. If you are a demanding traveler, rather go for a safer and more commercial option. If you are looking for a home away from home where you can kick out your shoes, then read further. Our yard is still the place where we grow our fruit trees and keep our flock of parrots. Our dog, Linah, also stayed on and offers added security and a feeling of home to our guests. Again, if you are looking for clean lines, cement and a sterile environment, then our permaculture-in-progress-yard will not be suitable for you. We intend to share ourselves with our guests, not someone we are not. This is our brand. We are not going to change to suit you. We are who we are and we are proud of it. If you want to give this a try, do so and if not, there are many other options in our town. We are not offended. We want our guests to be happy and enjoy the space as much as we still do. If you do consider us, please check the photos. We offer an artistic, colorful and tastefully designed experience that will leave all sensitive souls returning for more.
