The Huddle at Hillandale is a modern and totally off grid cabin tucked away in the forest with complete privacy and spectacular forest and mountain views! We are solar powered (so no load shedding!) and our water is rain water, delicious and safe to drink. Enjoy amazing birdlife, tranquility and beautiful walks. Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but only 5 minutes to stunning beaches, 10 minutes from Plett , the Crags, Plett Winelands and a host of amazing wildlife places! With so much to keep you busy locally, it is a treat to come back to the Huddle and feel away from it all!

We’re a family of five who love living in nature’s paradise and are keen to share it with others! Brendan and Cathryn are childhood sweethearts who’ve always had a dream to own land. We have 3 teenage sons who board at Grey High school in PE, but are happily home in the holidays! We also have 3 golden retrievers and 3 cats, all of whom we adore and they may pop in for a visit during your stay!

As much as being here feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, we are extremely conveniently located and have access to a range of top class restaurants and shops! We are within 3km of the amazing Enrico's restaurant on Keurbooms beach and within easy access to all the Plett and Crags eateries too. Moss and Maple Farm stall is within walking distance and Thyme and Again Farm stall only 5 minutes drive. The Plett Winelands, including the amazing Newstead and Bramon vienyards, are only 10 minutes away! We have a wide range of local wildlife experiences, including Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, The Snake park and Jukani, to mention but a few! For horselovers, Hog Hollow is just down the ride and they offer regular guided tours. Kurland hotel is also within 10 minutes and it hosts regular national and international polo tournaments, which are great fun to watch!
