To own and run a guest house was always but a dream, which has now become reality. I love people and have a extremely supportive husband and dog which I absolutely adore. I love nature in a whole, and now and then try my hand at mosaics or painting. Decorating is one of my great passions, and I really enjoyed decorating my guesthouse. Little Acorn Guest House is owned and run run by Elizabeth. The name was born due to the Oak Trees in and around the establishment. The garden is full of indigenous trees and shrubs, which is breeding place for different birds in the area. The temperature in Welkom gets rather high in summer, and the trees also provide excellent cover against the harsh sun. We are situated in a very quiet street in a upmarket suburb. The establishment consists of 5 bedrooms, and due to the fact that we are unique and small, we can offer personal attention- guests become friends. The set breakfast menue is made with care, and served with love. Each bedroom has its own entrance once guests have booked in, we shall direct you to the other entrance with electronic gates where you can park your car and come and go as you wish. We also offer 10 satellite tv channels for you to choose from, as well as Wi-Fi. The patio by the pool has a relaxed vibe where you can sit and admire the garden. The property is within walking distance from restaurants and mall which also has a casino where you can try our luck. Please note there is not a 24/7 hosting service. Little Acorn Guest House is very close to Welkom CBD. Most main restaurants and take-aways are within walking distance from us. There is a 3D movie house, Goldfields Mall and Casino, The Virgin active Gym, Medi Clinic Hospital to name but a few. Welkom also has a couple of Mashie golf courses, as well as Oppenheimer Golf Course- so bring along your golf clubs. For the adrenaline junkies, we have Phakisa race course were they race with bikes and cars most week-ends. Welkom also offers a few interesting botiques, very good hairdressers and day beauty and health spas. A few kilometres out side Wekom there are a few game ranches,and approximately 2 hours drive towards the Maluti mountains we have beautiful Clarens which is ideal to go to for a day trip.
