Makhonjwa Rose is a Private house and Guest house run by us, the owners We have a beautiful wooden deck attached to the main house that outlooks the Swimming pool, braai Area and open veld across the quite road where sometimes the Monkeys come and play (Personally I have never had any incidents with them and they have never bothered us in any way) Having abundance of Nature, beauty, trees and mountains around Barberton, you will just fall in love with this place and this is also one of the reasons that we have moved here We have and still putting a lot of time, effort sweat and tears into this property to make it homely and beautiful for us and of course our guests. I came from the City (Johannesburg) with big dreams "since a very young age" of one day starting some sort of Guest House or holiday resort, Well with this being said after a lot of hard labour, work and savings I followed my dreams and bought a piece of heaven on the foot of the Makhonjwa Mountains, and decided to start hosting at affordable prices, (Because who wants to spend a lot of money at a Hotel or lodge where you can stay over at a much cheaper rate and enjoy the feeling of being at home but also on holiday) Here I am now waiting for you to come visit my dream, my house, my future, Lastly we all want to enjoy a relaxing day and evening, so No loud music, alcohol abuse or parities allowed, some acceptable volume music at the braai and pool is accepted Hope to see you soon

Keep in mind that Makhonjwa Rose is walking distance from the town, It can get a bit busy at times but I never had issues or disturbance at bed time, As in any town there are petty crimes but we at Makonjwa Rose value our Guests and their safety, hence we are equipped with armed response at the property with beams outside for early warnings so you can feel safe and sleep comfortable Now for the beauty side of Barberton: The Mountain - This is one of the best and oldest dating back around 3.8 billion years, with a drive up the mountain, pack your picnic basket and take the 44Km drive to the Joshepsdal border post and take in the vast landscapes with scenic stops on the route where you can enjoy your picnic, Greenstone Pizza, - Excellent small restaurant and coffee shop run by a local family (Highly recommended) Barberton Museum: Walking distance form us, Plaaskombuis: Also a nice must visit coffee shop Come and enjoy Barberton, The Genesis of Life
