The Granadilla is a flatlet nestled at the back of the main property. It is a snug getaway with one bedroom, ensuite bathroom and a living room/kitchenette. Glass doors from both rooms open out onto the pretty little garden. Wake up to the sound of birds! The sofa in the living room doubles as a sofa bed for your child if needed. Rest from your day inside or enjoy the garden furniture outside. The garden of The Granadilla, surrounded by a hedge, is inside the garden of the main house, and is far away from the street, giving you privacy.
Your first contact will be with Liesl and Daniel who manage your bookings. Look out for an email from us once you've requested a booking. Chantal is your host to welcome you onto the property. Chantal has lived in Montagu for some time and can tell you about places of interest and things to do. Together, we're excited about The Granadilla as a beautiful place to stay and about Montagu as an historical dorp (small town) nestled in breathtaking mountains and farmlands. We thank you for your custom and look forward to you having a wonderful stay with us!
Montagu is a dorp (small town) on the banks of a river, surrounded by the Langeberg mountains. You can walk from The Granadilla to see all the town has to offer. There are historic and art places to visit; for the bookworms there are secondhand bookstores; for the more adventurous there are hiking routes, a nature garden to meander, and sport climbing just outside Montagu. There are restaurants and a village market on Saturdays to fill your appetite. You can have a day out visiting the hot springs and guano caves, treat yourself to a tractor ride on the fruit farms outside Montagu, or enjoy a wine-tasting tour of the nearby wine farms. The local tourist information center has all the details.
