Our three self-catering properties, Nextdoor Kruger Lodge, Ochre House and Terrapin Studio, are all solar-powered and contemporary-styled bush lodges, designed in harmony with the environment. They are spacious, stylish, comfortable and very private. Sit on your patio and see nothing but natural bushland with wild animals roaming free. All properties feature private Braai (BBQ) facilities, private patios and swimming pools, and enchanting natural bush views.
Nextdoor Kruger is a two-bedroom & two-bathroom holiday house, while Ochre House and Terrapin Studio are each one-bedroom with ensuite, and designed especially for couples. All are solar-powered.
Les is a photographer, and Paul a writer. We’re semi-retired and love managing our four holiday lodges full-time.
We are committed to offering exceptional accommodation and assisting guests to have the best possible Kruger experience. We know Kruger well, having made many hundreds of safari trips ourselves. Our particular pleasure is sharing our experience and local knowledge with guests, making sure that your expectations are exceeded in every way, including recommending activities in advance of your arrival.
We live less than a minute from all four of our properties, so we are on hand to welcome guests, and also to discuss plans for making your Kruger visit and your time in one of our lodges the highlight of your African adventure.
Nextdoor Kruger, Terrapin Studio and Ochre House are set in a wildlife conservancy adjoining the southern border of Kruger. The 3000-hectare conservancy, Marloth Park, has a large population of its own wild animals including giraffes, zebras, kudus, impalas, several other antelope species, wildebeest, warthogs, among others. And dozens of native bird species. It's just minutes into Kruger, and you can also walk along the river bank inside Marloth Park while watching Kruger animals including elephants just metres away.
