This stylish 1 bedroom self catering unit is fully furnished, Ideal for a single person or couple who wants to enjoy the peace of Widenham village in Umkomaas. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge & freezer, microwave, oven, electric stove and gas stove. Outside is a built braai facility. A solar system supplies electricity to the unit; therefore LIMITED loadshedding. The unit also comes with free wi-fi, full DStv and air conditioning. Laundry services are available on request at an additional cost. Your home away from home whilst you are on holiday or on business!
Umkomaas is world renown for the Aliwal Shoal rocky reef, roughly 5 kilometers out to sea. Not only is Aliwal Shoal rated by Jacques Cousteau as one of the top 10 dive spots in the world.
The marine life of the shoal is said to be spectacular. Raggies or ragged tooth sharks (also known as grey nurse sharks) are regularly spotted between August and November as they use the area to mate.
The hosts, Carel (retired) and his wife, Rachelle love hosting people, from guests to family. Carel is an avid golfer, enjoys photography and writing (short poems). Rachelle works from home and loves to read about interior decorating and interacting with people.
It is extremely important to us that our guests feel welcome and are comfortable during their stay in Palm Tree Place. We respect the privacy of our guests and will not have regular check ins with our guests. Instead, we welcome our guests to call us at any time during their stay.
We also encourage our guests to give us feedback during or after their stay to tell us if there was anything we could improve on.
Our passion is people and we love to think of ourselves as hosts that don't just go the extra mile, but the extra 2 miles!

Widenham is a quiet residential area in Umkomaas. The roads in Widenham are well maintained and free of potholes. There are no traffic lights, only stop signs (how wonderful!) Widenham is only 10 km away from Scottburgh and 23 km from Amanzimtoti.
Guest can travel by car, bikes or even walk to the beach or nearby facilities.
