Despite not having a nest-egg to break in Paternoster for a new chapter in my life, the space in which I found myself, clinched the deal for me. Paternoster had the exact ambiance I was looking for to spend the rest of my days…beauty, harmony and some unexpected excitement! And thus, in 2002, Paternoster Villas Accommodation was born, hosting families, friends, pets and honeymooners to my authentic establishments, witnessing many engagements, weddings, babies and reunions. Over the years I had very interesting guests. Athol Fugard often came to write, staying in Die Opstal. Hocus Pocus Cottage has a precious Jet master which was donated to me after it warmed the legs of Nelson Mandela while he visited Paternoster. Unique guests from all over the world included two Frenchmen who, after walking down the East coast of Africa for two years, rested in Die Opstal for 3 months, before walking all the way back up the West Coast of Africa. My pet guests have included 3 Great Danes, 5 miniature Yorkies, 6 cats enjoying beach walks on leashes, and an array of birds. So come and experience the magic of Die Opstal Accommodation.
