Welcome to Our Home — Where Comfort Meets Charm We’re a husband-and-wife team with a shared passion for hosting, connecting with people, and creating memorable experiences. Our story began in 2013, when we purchased what we lovingly called our “dream home” — though at the time, it was anything but! What started as a rundown property soon became a labour of love, as we set out to transform this “ugly duckling” into something truly beautiful. During the design phase, a close friend suggested we go double-storey to make the most of our incredible views. When we wondered what on earth we’d do with all that extra space, he simply said, “Open a guest house!” And just like that, our dream was born. After two years of planning and another two years of construction, we finally created what we now call our “forever home” — a place that blends luxury, warmth, and a personal touch in every detail. Three of our guest rooms showcase breathtaking views over the Nahoon River, while the fourth offers a serene and secluded courtyard — perfect for quiet reflection or a peaceful morning coffee. Because this is our forever home, we’ve spared no expense in crafting a space that feels both indulgent and inviting. Each spacious room features elegant finishes, luxurious bathrooms, and all the modern amenities you could need for a comfortable and memorable stay. We can’t wait to welcome you to our little piece of paradise — and to share the beauty, tranquility, and hospitality that make our home so special.

Our family is fun-loving and close-knit. We have always had service-based businesses in the past and feel that we are quite suited to, and capable of, managing the hospitality industry. Therefore, going the extra mile in order to ensure that our guests are taken care of and are comfortable staying in our guesthouse, is routine for us. Riverview Guesthouse employs two dynamic staff members - Dora and Sylvia - who always do their utmost to deliver the highest of standards when it comes to room cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Directions from the Airport 1. Head towards the East London City along Settlersway. 2. Cross over the trafic lights at bottom end of Oxford Street and continue in the direction you were heading. 3. Turn left at Fitzpatrick Road (R72 / N2 / 1049) and follow this road as it winds along to become the North East Expressway. 4. Follow the signs to Umtata/N2 until you see the M7 Beacon Bay Off ramp on your left. 5. Cross the Batting bridge over the Nahoon River and take first right after the bridge. 6. Follow the winding road along the river past the Sports Club. 7. Turn left into Acacia Rd and immediately left into Chestnut Crescent. 8. No. 17 will be on your left. Directions from the N2 highway. 1. From N2 take exit no 1051 to Beacon Bay and turn left onto Bonza Bay Road (M8) 2. Follow this road for 2 km and turn right at the circle (KFC) onto Beaconhurst Drive. 3. After 1.3 km Turn right onto Acacia Rd 4. Turn right onto Chestnut Crescent. 5. No. 17 will be on your right.
