House 58 is situated in Sodwana Bay Lodge, which is wheelchair friendly. We can accommodate max 8 people, including children. 4 bedrooms, with aircons + 3 bathrooms self-catering house, with, DSTV with full Channel, Free Wi-fi, and Nespresso Citiz & Milk Coffee Machine, (but we don't supply any coffee pods, please bring your own with) and Air fryer. We also have an aircon in the lounge. We have a cleaner from 8h00 - 13h00 daily Parking at the house. We only use Gas geysers, gas stoves, and Gas Braai's at Sodwana Bay Lodge. No open fires are allowed inside Sodwana Bay Lodge. We are 6 km from the main beach. Sodwana Bay Lodge is situated just before you enter the National Park, where you pay to enter to the beach. GPS 27° 30' 48.6504'' S32° 39' 27.2088'' E Directions from Durban or Johannesburg, please follow the N2 to Hluhluwe and from Hluhluwe onto the R22 to Sodwana 4-hour drive from Durban and 7-hour drive from Johannesburg to Sodwana. (Tar road to Sodwana, if you make use of these directions. Please avoid driving in the dark. We have a Restaurant on the property. Our Restaurant hours are as follows. Breakfast 7h00 - 10h30, Lunch 12h00 - 15h00 and Dinner 18h00 - 22h00 daily.
Welcome to Sodwana Bay Lodge House 58. Please visit our beautiful House near the sea but in the bush. We fell in love with the place, and as we are a big family the 8 sleeper suited our needs well. We bought the place in 2001 and did some major renovations so that we can enjoy it as much as we want you to enjoy it when we visit. Hope to see you soon!
Sodwana Bay Lodge is situated just behind Shazibe lake and 1,6 from the beach, although there is no access to the beach this way as the beach is part of a Nature Reserve and acces are only granted through the park gate. Fish Eagles roam the area and can be heard through out the day, the lodge is situated in a tropical foresty bush environment and are full of wildlife, we have njala antelope,monkeys an endangered species bats, that eats insects and helps with malaria control. Please note that sometimes the bats do come inside the houses and there droppings look like rat droppings but its only bat droppings, and as it is a wildlife nature reserve we can not kill anything. So no pest control is aloud, we do have a cleaning girl that keeps the house in mint condition and droppings are rarely seen. We have build a bat Hotel but as nature are they do not always overnight there. Be aware that it is in the bush, and there are insects, spiders and many other wildlife. It's AFRICA We did install ceilings into the rooms, to prevent bats from entering the house. SWEET DREAMS
