Softwaters Farm is a working farm which produces a range of fruit and nuts; Macadamia nuts the main crop is supported by Pecan nuts, Avocados and Litchis. The cropping season normally runs from late February to July. Litchi's are harvested in the middle of summer and over the Christmas holiday "festive"season.
The Guesthouse has been built from the remains of the original farm homestead. The character of the old house has been maintained during its transformation, which has taken 9 years. Please be aware not all the walls are straight and corners square! Rooms are comfortable with direct access to secure private gardens.
Michael and Suzanne Holford bought Softwaters Farm in November 1985. Soon after arriving at Softwaters Farm, Timothy was born in February followed by Nicholas in January, two years later. Although farm life has its slow pace, much has changed since they first arrived. Softwaters Farm is a producing/working farm approximately 80 hectares in size.
There are two homes on the farm. One for the manager, the other, the old farm homestead, is where you have the pleasure of staying overnight.
Hey
My name is Tim Holford. I was born in Elim and grow up on the farm.
There are alot of interesting things to do and see in this area. We have a very unique piece of the Soutpansberg mountain range.
