Soutbos Cottages offers rustic charm with modern comfort on a historic Karoo Game Farm, just 1 km from the N1 and Laingsburg. Once humble farmworker homes. The cottages have been magically restored, preserving historic character while adding modern comforts. Est in 1882, the farm embraces the wabi-sabi spirit—finding beauty in simplicity and imperfection.
We offer five self-catering units: 2 with two bedrooms (one double, one single), 1 spacious three-bedroom unit (all doubles), and 2 with two double bedrooms. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. All cottages feature original wood-burning fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens with gas stoves and air fryers, plus open-plan dining and lounge area with TV.
The cottages share a long stoep with dining tables, overlooking mountains and farmland. The perfect spot to enjoy Karoo sunsets with a drink in hand, While sheep nibble on the Soutbos.Ideal for one night stop overs, Romantic getaways, or friends and family tranquil getaways in the heart of the Great Karoo.
