South Merino is a working merino sheep farm in Richmond, Northern Cape. The farm also has some free-ranging antelope like springbok and kudu - early birds might catch the kudu grazing in the garden.
Each room consists of a queen size bed and two twin beds with crisp clean white linnen and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. It is an open-plan unit with a kitchenette and living room overlooking the prickly pear and luscious lawn.
Each room has freshly filtered farm water, a Nespresso capsule coffee machine, coffee and tea with home-baked rusks.
Dinner and breakfast can be arranged at an additional fee. Each room has a built-in braai on the stoep, and guests can arrange for additional braaipacks with a freshly baked bread and salad. Planning on leaving early? Order a conveniently packaged padkos parcel to suit your needs or enjoy a farmhouse breakfast.
The farm is located on the N1. Access to the farm via a security gate and a well maintained 500m gravel road, suitable for any vehicle. We offer safe parking space next to each unit.
Guests can look forward to peaceful sunsets and starry nights in the fresh air of the Karoo.
