The open plan living area is solid oak flooring and includes a dining room and lounge with a fireplace, which leads out through stacker doors onto a wooden deck, perfect for a morning breakfast, while watching the sunrise. Our birdlife is exceptional with eagles frequently flying past at eye level. The cabin is perched on a hill overlooking the valley beneath and the mountains beyond you. The bathroom includes a bath, while there is an outdoor shower overlooking the mountains. With majestic views of the Outeniqua Mountain Range, stretched out before you, it’s a wonderful space to find your equilibrium. Welcome to Summer Villa I enjoy sharing our beautiful Mountain Views and bird life with travelers needing a peaceful place to rest. My hobbies are hiking, stand up paddle boarding, and spending time with my family out in nature, so if you would like a few tips on great hikes in the area, I am happy to send some info your way.

Our property and area have some lovely attractions for you to nourish your soul. We have a little stream that runs through the middle of the farm, and next to it we have created a little picnic area, where you can enjoy a little time out in nature. There are a few great restaurants near us, so you can take some time off from cooking. Just 3km away and has the most beautiful Percheron horses you will most likely ever see. They offer carriage rides, not for the faint hearted, as well as tours of their horses. Just down the road there is a lovely restaurant, with pizzas, a play area, farm animals and live entertainment on Friday nights. They have recently completed building their Butterfly Sanctuary, a must see. The Bow & Arrow restaurant and Butchery is 8km away, offering delicious meals, and a butchery, with meat fresh from their farm. Botlierskop Game Reserve is 15km away, they have game drives a restaurant and the Big Five. Mossel Bay is a lovely historical town, full of lovely restaurants and activities. Surf lessons are available in , as well as the longest zipline over the ocean. A family safe beach is Santos, which also has good restaurants near by. Hartenbos has a indoor heated swimming pool at the Waterfront, along with a bowling alley and some great restaurants for foodies. The Cango Caves is a must see in Oudtshoorn, just a short hop over the mountain pass and a scenic drive through the Karoo.
