Mongena Private Game Lodge was established in 2008 and has grown to the biggest lodge within the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve. We pride ourselves in our slogan ''where nature and true luxury meet'' as we try to give guests the best bush experience yet in a comfortable and luxurious way.

The Barnhouse is a luxurious self-catering house situated In the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve, on the Mongena game lodge concession, 40 min north of Pretoria. The house features 2 Bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms each, a fully operational kitchen, spacious indoor dining area with a TV and DSTV, an outside porch and a cozy outside boma area. The house is run on an efficient solar powered grid, with a back-up generator on standby. Nestled in the bush, 7km from the Main lodge. Includes daily service & cleaning

Nestled within a Big 5 game reserve. Animals roam around freely and the house is surrounded by bushveld with an open plain to the front of the house where Blue Wildebeest, Impala, Zebra and Giraffe often roam. Other animals that have been seen from the house include White Rhino, Black Rhino, Cheetah, Lions and Elephant. Guests park and check-in at Mongena Private Game Lodge reception, where they leave their car. They are then transferred to the Barnhouse by one of our guides and a safari vehicle and dropped off at the house.
