The farm is located near the sleepy hamlet of Vermaaklikheid - translation "to entertain". The area falls under agricultural zoning - no residential developments are possible at this time. Guests can expect a sprinkling of properties every few Km along the quiet waters of the Duiwenhoks river. The river is protected by a conservancy and a speed limit is in effect. Waterskiing and jet skis are prohibited. Guests may order fresh bread from the Vermaaklikheid bakery. For groceries, restaurants and other services a 40 minute drive to Stilbaai, Riversdale and Heidelber is required. The property is located 40km from Stilbay / Stilbaai. The town is the home of great beaches and surfing breaks; the Inverroche Gin Distellery, the Press Room Cafe (Olive press, restaurant), and various food retails to get supplies. 60 km direction Mosselbay is the town of Albertinia, headquarters of the Aloe (Aloe Ferox) health and beauty factory.
