I am an avid ocean lover having been a scuba instructor and now a spearfisherman. We have lived in our home since 2011 and enjoy hosting people. The area lends itself to outdoor life and there is often a day where we find ourselves walking home with sand in our toes.

Umkomaas has a history of diving, having the Aliwal Shoal on our doorstep. It is a quiet town where time is easily forgotten. Being on the east coast in KZN, we have the privilege of seeing many spectacular sunrises, watched whales breach in the bay and dolphins surfing in the waves. We have numerous restaurants which treat us so well that we need to keep our eye on waist lines. There is so much to see and do and we are just a short drive from Durban.
