Twickenham Guest House dates from 1898, one of the first houses in the Auckland Park area, just 12 years after Johannesburg was founded with the discovery of gold. It is a majestic old mansion with modern facilities and amenities such as free Wi-Fi and solar power. It has 11 en-suite rooms and a large conference room. It is set in a beautiful English country garden.
The Twickenham Guest House team goes out of its way to provide warm and personalised service and to make sure the needs of guests are met. Apart from providing breakfasts, lunches and dinners, transport is also available on request.
Twickenham Guest House is close to the University of Johannesburg and the University of the Witwatersrand, the SABC and four hospitals: Milpark, Netcare Rehabilitation, Garden City Clinic and the Helen Joseph. It is also close to the restaurant precinct of Melville and Campus Square shopping mall. It is within easy driving distance of Braamfontein, Rosebank and Cresta and a mere 20 minutes from Sandton.
