Forget your worries in this spacious, serene and historical space. Twistniet was build in 1811 and is the oldest house in Wellington. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet in the middle of town with our farm-style elegance. Two rooms available in the house sleeping 2-4 people. The house is cool in summer due to the thick walls and high ceilings. This is not self-catering accommodation. Breakfast will be provided. This is a small family owned business, We live upstairs and your room is downstairs. The two rooms downstairs share a living room and foyer, but you have your own private room and bathroom. We try to provide a home away from home type accommodation, so please do not expect a hotel.
My name, Magrietjie, means Daisy flower in Afrikaans. I am happily married to Avril and we have 2 beautiful children, Helen & Malan. We live in Wellington - a beautiful town in the Cape Winelands in Western Cape, South Africa. The town is surrounded with mountains and vineyards, therefore worth a visit. My other favourite town is Hermanus where I grew up. With mountains, vineyards, sea, whales, cliff paths and so much more it is for me one of the most beautiful towns in the world. We provide accommodation that is surrounded with nature and therefore allow you to be sporty or just relax and let your soul fill up again... that is also the kind of places we prefer to visit.
Burg Street is tree covered, beautiful street close to the schools and CBD of Wellington.
