Your hosts: John-Paul and Talita Pringle grew up in the De Aar/Britstown district and after working in Botswana for seventeen years, decided to return to Britstown in 2015. We opened a rustic Coffee Shop in the towns Old Mill, which combined with Barista experience, brought high quality coffee to the Karoo.

The accommodation is housed in Britstown's Old Jail which was built during the late 1890's. It is believed the facility was used to house some of prisoners during the Anglo-Boer war. Engraved names and pictures can be seen carved into the granite stone blocks. During the renovation process, which took place between 2017 and 2018, as much as possible of the original fittings were kept without detracting from a comfortable stay.

Britstown is situated on the N12 national route which runs from Johannesburg to Capetown via Kimberley. This makes it an ideal halfway stop-over for travelers.
