Lovely old inn with a lot of character. Great staff and good food. The fireplace at the bar is brilliant. They don’t have their own car park but there is a public car park right behind the inn. Just use the garden gate.

The room was spacious but cozy, it was light and airy and immaculate. The bathroom was modern with a great shower. The oversized bed was very comfortable with lovely soft bedding which made a nice change from the usual starchy bedding you tend to get in hotels. There is no tv in the room which wasn’t a problem for us - it was actually quite refreshing! The pub underneath was quirky with a fab atmosphere and served a great range of drinks from the brewery. The couple that run the pub and hotel were so welcoming and friendly and made our stay a very pleasant one. The location is perfect for the town near to a variety of restaurants and shops.
