Welterbe-Wirtshaus Steegwirt presenta un giardino, una zona spiaggia privata, una terrazza e un ristorante a Bad Goisern. This was a really beautiful and cosy hotel. I was a solo traveller here and I felt very well looked after by the owners and staff. My room was beautiful, with a view of the river and mountains. There was even a view of a waterfall from the shower! There's a very nice place for swimming just a few minutes walk away from the hotel and it's about 7 minutes walk to the train station, which is well connected to towns and cities in the region. Breakfast at the hotel was very good, with very generous portions. And I would recommend eating at the restaurant, which had a really nice atmosphere and fantastic traditional dishes.

The family who operate Windlegern are Excellent in every possible way. The rooms are delightful, furnished in traditional Salzkammergut decor, squeaky clean, large rooms with a huge bed, well- appointed with comforters and deluxe pillows and all required bathroom accessories. The staff couldn't do too much for us - nothing was a problem, everything was possible. It was a real "Wow" 4 days staying in this incredible mountaintop Guesthouse, overlooking Gmunden town and the spectacularly beautiful Traun Sea and it's massive mountain formation. The breakfast was incredible - several varieties of homemade jams, a varied selection of breads and croissants plus several cheese and local spreads plus cereals/muslies and other homemade cakes. etc. This is a wonderful Gasthaus including restaurant located on a remote mountaintop overlooking one of the most beautiful areas of the Salzkammergut. Worth a visit? Absolutely! Quiet, accommodating and full-service is what you can expect from Windlegern; a super place to stay in the Salzkammergut.

The hotel was clean, in the middle of the centre and with great views. The breakfast was perfect and the staff was really kind.
