I really enjoyed this place. The bed was comfortable and warm. The house had everything I needed. The owner was very attentive and the place was clean. I loved that they had bicycles for me to ride to the convenience store. It was a short walk to the beach. It was peaceful and surrounded by nature. I loved it so much. If I have the chance, I will definitely stay here again.

From the moment we arrived, Manami-chan went the extra mile and made our stay truly memorable. Her home is uniquely attached to her family’s temple, which she lovingly cares for, and the atmosphere reflects her warm, gentle spirit. The decor is impeccable—calm, cozy, and soothing—so it feels like the house itself is Manami: thoughtful and kind. Every detail has been considered: a comfortable tatami bedroom with soft, plush mattress and linens, a full kitchen, washer & dryer, and even a little mini-spa corner to unwind. There are two toilets (a rare convenience in Japan) and the location is great for exploring. Manami helped us rent e-bikes and gave us wonderful day-trip plans and cultural insights we would never have discovered on our own. Staying here felt like touching the true spirit of old Japan while enjoying modern comforts. For us, it was a dream place. If you value kindness, authenticity, and quiet beauty, book Oteragoto—you’ll feel Manami’s heart in every corner. She truly deserves all the guests who will love this place as much as we did. 10/10. The place was lovely, styled with great taste and very comfortable. The host was nice and helpful, gave us many recommendations including helping us in making reservations to restaurants. Breakfast was wonderful, wish there was dinner also. The location is great if you have a car.

Camera confortevole in un contesto tranquillissimo. Il proprietario è estremamente disponibile e accogliente. Ci ha pure portato a Kagoshima in macchina fermandosi alle attrazioni turistiche lungo il tragitto. (doveva andare in una città dopo Kagoshima) Consigliatissimo, se avete in programma di dormire a Miyazaki, prendete il treno per Aoshima e a mezz'ora di distanza arrivate qua, ne vale la pena.

The owners (Tomo-san & Masa-san) were absolutely friendly and hospitable hosts. Relatively convenient, short walk from Shinmachi Tram Station and convenience stores (7-11 & Family Mart). Place was clean and well-maintained overall, washing machine and dryer are available and cheap to use. Instructions for usage are clear and easy to follow. Also, they have a dinner and drinks party on Saturday night for 3000 yen. Great opportunity to socialize with fellow guests and the hosts if you happen to stay on that night. It was a fun and enjoyable experience.

Hotel Karakonosato 唐比の里 è ubicato a Isahaya, a 27 km da Museo di Storia di Nagasaki e 28 km da Stazione di Nagasaki. The hotel was old style Japanese set in the countryside. It is very peaceful. The accommodation was exceptionally spacious, super comfy beds. All the staff were A1+++ for friendliness and customer service. We arrived late and the manager came out in the dark to greet us in our car. We had the breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and it was one of the best we've had during our stay in Japan. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay special.
