Richie & Lynn were fantastic hosts with great knowledge of the local area which was very helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, breakfast was spot on for a continental one with plenty of options. Able to use washing machine & dryer was an added bonus. We had dinner at the Tomo (about 100m walk) where the hospitality and food was sensational!!

Our host and hostess were so helpful and made us feel at home. They even gave my daughter ( the bride to be ) some bubblebath to help her relax, and they bought a new iron and ironing board cover to help us get ready for the wedding day. The accommodation was large enough for all our guests and the rustic look was perfect in the photo's.

Great location, Clo on reception was lovely and super helpful with planning our time in Taupo/Rotorua, we had the best time and enjoyed coming back to our cosy little room and cooking dinner in a well organised and clean kitchen area.

From the moment you drive up to the Hilton Taupo I was amazed at how beautiful the property was. The check in staff were so friendly yet professional. Our room was huge and we loved the touches like the underfloor heating in the bathroom. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. Dinner in the Bar area was delicious and good portions. The highlight was the sensational pool and spa area that was magical at night. Our breakfast was delicious and there were lots of options hot and cold. The home made Granola was awesome.

The owners were awesome. Kind, friendly and helpful. They gave excellent suggestions for breakfast and dinner. The room was huge for the three of us. The beds were super comfy.

KB (and Carly) were the perfect hosts. Very helpful. Great facility - with a 'tropical' theme throughout the complex. Having arrived after dinner time, KB recommended a couple of eating places and we settled for the Whangamata Club and managed to place an order before the kitchen closed off - great meal. They also provided an excellent, informative WELCOME book.

Spotlessly clean, spacious room with a small kitchenette if we had wanted to cook, comfortable bed and chairs. Driving distance to town for dinner.

I was an early arrival but was accommodated beyond expectations. The manager gave me a very accessible room and was able to accommodate an extra night. Lovely and tasty breakfasts. The location is excellent to all relating to the caves and adventure travel. The parking lot was easily accessible, restaurants a 5-minute walk and info on the menus was a great help. I highly recommend this lodge... the innkeepers were so very kind and informative.

Small, modest motel. A bit tired. But clean and tidy. The owner/operator, Bede, was personable and helpful. The rooms were warm from central heating. A short drive from Turangi. A quarter mile walk to the hot pools in Tokaanu. We ate dinner at the Tokaanu Tavern, a typical Kiwi pub and sports bar.
