Our room was cozy and warm, perfect for relaxing after a night of aurora hunting. The restaurant was fantastic, serving delicious food that made our stay even more enjoyable. Kätkä Lake Lodge is truly a magical place! We really enjoyed our stay here and honestly, the lodge was our favorite stay during our week long trip to Finland. Firstly, Mikko, the owner is a fantastic host. Always there to answer our questions and really appreciated his help/comments regarding road conditions before we got there. Second, if you are looking for a place that provides peace and tranquility, the lodge is it. We really enjoyed snowshoeing on the trail across the way, it made me so happy! Everything is perfectly maintained and you immediately feel relaxed when you arrive. We also highly recommend booking the activities offered by the resort — they are very well organized and truly add to the overall experience. An unforgettable stay, we will definitely come back!

Located in Salla, Lapland region, Salla Wilderness Lodges is set 3.1 km from Salla Mountain. Providing a restaurant, the property also has a terrace, as well as a hot tub. Every room is equipped with a balcony. It is a charming city away from Rovaniemi, it was a bit of scary ride of 2h30min over snow and icy roads. But getting there, we love everything about the place, our room was perfect, the pictures are as true as the experience. We had our private sauna and jacuzzi which we spoiled ourselves everyday. Breakfast and dinner was nice at the receptiom. The place is near to all attraction ski and the middle of nowhere views. We will be returning as we are in love with everything here! We even saw the northern lights from our room.

The location by the lake, the beautiful view of the woods and lake from the balconies. The northern lights apparently can be perfectly seen from the balconies, but we weren’t lucky to have them. The room was spacious, there was a well equipped kitchenette and the bathroom is big. And there was a spacious sauna! One of the beds faces the big windows directly, another was in a separate room that we did not use but would be very good for children. For fee and with reservations there is access to a large sauna and jacuzzi by the lake, so that a dip in the lake is possible. We did not do that, too cold for us!
