We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cute, historic castle in the country. The owner of the castle/property was wonderful and showed some of the restoration they have performed while we were there. Our breakfast was served in our room by the host which was very nice. We loved our stay here!

I loved everything about this place the location, the decoration in the room and the Castle Tower and the gardens, the experience of eating breakfast in the tower being able to walk down to the river and along the river, and having a real sense of the history of the place and the people who lived there

We loved the view from our lovely chalet. Accommodation was perfect; clean, stylish and warm. The local area was beautiful and we enjoyed walking along the beach and visiting the local towns.

Room was very comfortable and well appointed; TV needed a wee bit of attention but then worked perfectly (previous guest had been fiddling with it!); breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfasts I have enjoyed when staying away from home - freshly cooked to order and very tasty! A big 10/10 - eggselent!

Boasting garden views, Hamish's Hideaway offers accommodation with an open-air bath and a patio, around 29 km from Cumbria County Council. The property and views are absolutely beautiful, the bed is so comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom absolutely spotless. We’ve had the most relaxing and enjoyable weekend away and the hot tub is amazing!!! Highly recommend and will be telling all of my friends to go for a weekend. Will definitely be looking to come back again at some point!

The place was really fresh and had everything that was needed. The courtesy hamper was a really nice touch and well received We all had a good night sleep as it was very quiet and comfy beds. The Gretna Chase Hotel had a good menu and was staggering distance on the way home We will definitely be back

The property was quiet (even though main roads nearby), unique style and well thought out. Property is very well looked after and smooth communication with the host.
