The perfect doggo retreat… myself and my husband have been twice now and I honestly can’t recommend Loughanmore Court Cottage enough… beautiful ground with walking path for the dogs, the cottage itself has beautiful touches in every way like dressing gowns, face masks, welcome surprises… the jacuzzi is magic and the bed is honestly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in… can’t recommend it enough…

What didn’t we like would be the question. absolutely nothing!! this wee cottage oozes of comfort, all mod cons but keeping the cottage feel. Our hosts Sean and Elaine did an outstanding job with not only the property but also with the welcome they gave us. If you want to experience the ole country cottage feel, surrounded by mountains and silence and still be spoilt this is the place to be! I can’t thank them enough for giving us an absolutely wonderful weekend.

A beautiful property. Our room was huge, it was so lovely to be able to rest, spread out and open our bags easily. We loved having a bath and enjoyed the space and decor of the room. The resort itself is away from the town, costing us about 15 Euros in a taxi to get into town and then another 15 Euros to come back. We decided after that to stay in the hotel and use the facilities there. We were very surprised with the prices of beer and wine in the hotel, which were pretty similar to the pubs. We enjoyed a few evenings in the bar and ate the soup and chicken wings - which were great. Breakfast was amazing too! The staff were so lovely, Paula in the bar, Jacqueline and Emily in the restaurant, as well as Tommy and Natalia. Everyone was so very friendly and we had a lot of fun while we were there. We had just finished a 3 week drive around Ireland and Northern Ireland, and were looking for somewhere to fill in 3 nights before heading back to Dublin. Very good value for money - with lovely walking opportunities as well as the chance for a steam, spa and swim in the resort.

In 12 acres of lush, green gardens The Boyne Valley is an elegant 19th-century mansion on the M1 road to Dublin and less than 30 minutes’ drive from Dublin Airport. Nice quiet location, 5 mins walk from a great pub, as they do not offer evening meals, but the breakfast was great and the staff were lovely and friendly.
