He also showed us a great local sushi restaurant and gave us excellent travel tips for the area. The house itself is a beautifully renovated old farmhouse, full of charm and attention to detail, while still keeping its authentic character. It’s even nicer than the pictures! The location is quiet and surrounded by the most beautiful nature we saw in Japan. The house was fully equipped — everything worked perfectly, including the washing machine. We even used the karaoke system for the first time in our lives and had so much fun, knowing no one could hear our singing in the middle of nature! If we ever come back to the Furano–Biei area, we will definitely stay at Kaoru’s place again. Thank you, Kaoru, for everything — and for being the kindest face of Japan.
