It was clean and spacious. Had a dryer which helped because it was raining. Full kitchen and living room and dining room. Large bath with a shower. Also the host was really nice!

Exceeded expectations! Travelling with a picky husband and he was blown away by place. The old farm house has been lovingly restored, with lots of attention to detail. Serene, warm, welcoming. Highly recommend. We re-arranged our travel plans to stay here as it was fitting to stay in an old farmhouse after a day's walk Magome to Tsumago on the Nakesendo Way. The curry dinner was superb - we did the extra portion as 6 ft + sons with us - and it was very hearty. Free barley tea was delicious. We stayed in the family room - sleeps 5 comfortably - Japanese style and very comfy. Hosts were great as were the staff. The whole place was decorated with attention to smallest detail, down to the wood and stone decorations of the bathrooms. Fans of Manga will love the selection around the place and there were a few English books to pick up and read too. We were caught short on a rainy onwards trip and the hosts were able to supply us with plastic bags so we would arrive at destination nice and dry :) Would highly recommend.

Location is in the quiet area with stunning view of the mountains. The fall foliage around the area is so beautiful.

The place was all class. The architectural beauty was unmatched by any hotel I stayed at in Japan. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They did not always get it right but by golly, they got everything right all in all. The food was exemplary and the onsen was good. I plan to go back.

Definitely coming back here if we are in Hakuba again. Highly recommended

Belnina had a very nice family feel. Taka, Seiko and their friend Danny made our stay fantastic. Taka was very helpful with resort information and went beyond by picking us up and dropping us to the station. Seiko and Danny did a great job with breakfast, especially with the homemade baking. The drying room was great and the onsen was a great addition after a day on the slopes. We will definitely be back!

They made sure to have someone on hand who had lived in the US and spoke perfect English, and had translated the menu for our group of mixed Japanese language ability. Comfortable rooms and great baths.
