Made the most of that in the evenings! Shame about the shower flooding. The tray definitely needs a lip to contain the water. 1min showers were annoying. aside from that, and also at times having no water, our stay was lovely.

Villa Amour is absolutely stunning! Olivier and Gaëlle thought of everything to make Villa Amour a true getaway with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is so well stocked, and the welcoming beer, wine, and snacks were such a thoughtful touch, and very much appreciated after a travel day. The outdoor space was a true zen space; if you had no other plans for your visit to St. Martin, you could easily stay lounging by the pool and be fully content. The beds were comfortable, and the AC units in the bedrooms made for a great nights sleep. The Villa is situated in the perfect location; a five minute walk you have restaurants, shops, and the beautiful beaches of Orient Bay. 20-45 minutes, depending on traffic, you can drive all over the island exploring the sites, village/towns, or get lost sightseeing in the beautiful hills of the island.

Our lovely hostess was always available if we were to need anything, she was super friendly and very helpful. We were able to utilise often the villa's lovely pool and sun deck, and vehicle parking was immediately outside our unit. Because of the hilly area, it is best to have a car. The drive from SXM airport is simple and getting to/from all the action on the Dutch side is also an easy drive - outside rush hour that is, lol. The location is approximately a 25 minute walk or 5 min drive to one the most famous and popular Caribbean beaches - Orient beach. The grocery shops are within a 2-5 minutes drive from the apartment: the Leader Price and the SUPER U. Perhaps the best pizza on the island "Pepe Pizza" is 1 minute away. There is a coin laundry just by the Super U market. We are looking forward to return there next year.

We visited all the island and believe this is the best area to stay in: quiet, safe, and with supermarkets, restaurants, and great beaches nearby. The place is very comfortable and spacious, with a jacuzzi, chaise lounges, a full kitchen, and easy and independent access. We had everything we needed. Nicole is the best concierge ever. She explained everything about the house and the equipment to us and was always very helpful. And Florence shared tips on the best alternatives for tours and restaurants. Both were always thinking about our comfort. We highly recommend staying at The Rock if you are going to Saint-Martin.
