Each meal was a culinary delight, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients prepared to perfection. We looked forward to dining at the restaurant every day, eager to sample the delicious creations of the talented chefs. But perhaps what stole our hearts the most was the adorable in-house cat Whiskas who became our unexpected companion during our stay. We formed a special bond with him and were sad to leave without saying goodbye, assuming he was busy with his cat activities. We hope he is doing well and look forward to visiting again someday, perhaps to see him grown into a regal feline. Overall, our experience at Summerfields Retreat and Spa was nothing short of magical. It's a place where every detail is thoughtfully curated to ensure the utmost comfort and enjoyment of guests. Stayed here for our last three nights of our honeymoon to South Africa. We taught all the other hotels that we stayed in during our honeymoon were off a very high standard, but the Highgrove easily topped them all. Everything about the hotel was exceptional, the meals were some of the best food I have ever had. Staff were very friendly and could do no more for you. The property itself is set in what could only be described as a bit of heaven on earth.
