The attractions are wonderful.. few tips, very pushy market stall holders!! your entry ticket fee includes 3 tombs but not the ‘big name’ tombs that’s an extra cost.. options once inside entry gate either walk the hill or pay again for golf buggy transfer.. there is provision for wheelchairs but not one for hire.. the security guards at each tomb are lovely and will assist you, most speak good English. 6am-10am is the best time to visit the tombs. Don't buy the Luxor premium Pass ( 220 euros for adult and 110 euros for student- it would be half price if you bought Cairo Pass already) as it isn't worth it, (it is supposed to cover the tomb of Nefertari but the tomb is closed atm). They haven't provided us any information about what are included in the Luxor Pass or the Premium Pass. Be aware of the entry fees.
Be aware of the entry fees. Set I alone was an extra 1800LE - nearly £28 per person - the cost per person for all the tombs, including Tutankhamun was £46 each!! A perfect way to begin each day. The location was ideal, especially as a convenient pick-up point for my tour of the Valley of the Kings. It’s close to everything but still peaceful. Hamada is a terrific host and is available for you should you need anything. We enjoyed his service a company a lot. We found navigating Egypt to be quite intense at times and enjoyed a lovely rest at Sekhnet Retreat Centre away from the busy streets of Luxor. Everything is close, the reception will help with excursions, in particular they offered a car with a driver for the whole day for a trip to the Valley of the Kings and the surrounding area. The food at the hotel is wonderful, you don’t have to go anywhere, I recommend it to everyone. The hotel is very decent in terms of price/quality ratio. The location of the hotel is just perfect, close to Valley of the kings, and just 30 minutes away from Luxor international airport. Situated in an authentic part of Egyptian countryside.
