We booked this hotel because of its location. We came for a wedding which took place at the Monasterio de San Juan that is 3 min distance and also not so far from the center. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety, specially, with the fruits. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The location was amazing. We were two blocks from a laundromat and a supermarket. A little further was the river and there was the St Mary’s Gate and through that the cathedral and its massive square. The reception staff could not have been more helpful.

We had not known beforehand that Burgos is very close to a site called Atapuerca where archeaologists have uncovered far longer history of humanoid occupation than anywhere else in Europe. The museum in Burgos holds many of the most significant finds, including whole skeletons. The site is still being uncovered but has already given us, I believe, more complete prehistoric skeletons than the rest of Europe put together. I think the museum could do more to help find the entrance from its underground carpark (I'm not kidding!) and to aid non-Spanish speakers appreciate the exhibitions.
