irst of all, it was a very beautiful hotel. The room was very spacious and perfectly clean. The hotel’s breakfast was truly delicious and could easily compete with popular breakfast spots outside. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As a family who enjoys walking, we could comfortably reach popular places such as the Royal Mile and Victoria Street on foot from the hotel. Definitely a hotel you can choose without hesitation.

This is a family run metro hotel. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood, only 1 mile away from the castle and Princess Str. A bus station is less than two minutes walk from the hotel. They serve a fantastic cooked breakfast. They give you the option to choose from five different plates. The owners - Kevin and Susan - make you feel at home. You go there as a guest, and you leave as a friend.

Like the room so much. Dont be fooled into thinking that not having a separate room as bathroom is a bad thing. This design is wonderful. We didnt have to wait for each other at all for 6 days and 5 nights. In other hotels, you wait for using the toilet, taking a bath, brushing teeth, getting ready, make up etc. But here 2 person can do anything they need to do at the same time with this design. Hats off for the architects. There is a door separating the bed area with the rest. Each cubicle for bath and toilet has well insulated magnetic doors and great ventilation, no bad smell or moisture at all after using them. No noise from the toilet when being used, as it has one door of the cubicle itself and a second door separating the bed area, it is even better than a regular bathroom. Two very spacious wardrobes with many many hangers. A proper iron and an ironing board. The fullest mini bar and drinks stand ever with normal street prices. Complimentary biscuits, coffe teas etc plenty as well. Been to many luxury hotels, never was this good and easy for two to stay in. Definitely best for travelling couples. Rest of the hotel is very good as well. Breakfast was wonderful. Buffet and a la carte ordering as well. Rich selection. Location absolutely the best. Room was very quiet. House keeping exceptional, twice a day. Decor all around the hotel is fabolous. Attention to detail is great. Luxury and chic. Dont think its just for young people because of its fashionable design. Its more luxurious than the boring big brand 5 star so called “luxurios” kinds. Definitely for people from all age groups. I said 6 days and 5 nights, because they let us check in early at 10:30 even without letting them know that we will arrive early and charged us nothing for that. Definitely the most customer satisfaction oriented hotel ever. Staff was perfect as well. Would definitely come again and recommend.

Holyrood Park

The vast, green expanse of Holyrood Park is best experienced from Arthur’s Seat, the park’s craggy peak and a long-dormant volcano. As you make your way up the winding paths, you’ll take in the delicate remains of the 15th-century St Anthony’s Chapel as well as the ruins of four 2,000-year-old hill forts.

Fabulous walking area, if you go up King Arthur's Seat the last section of the climb is very steep and rocky, please wear suitable footwear. St. Anthony's Chapel Ruins on Whinny Hill so worth a visit, great views.

We loved it here but we were really just walking through on our way to the Castle. Next time we go I would like to spend more time here. So lovely. Lots of benches to sit at. Beautiful views. Coffee shop for refreshments. Long queues though.

A must to visit if you have the time.

A must to visit if you have the time. A large area to chill out in and explore. When we lived in Edinburgh, we used to go there a lot with our young family. The energetic can go to the top of 'Arthur's Seat' for panoramic city views, or just go feed the ducks at the other end of the park.

When visiting the Park it is worth following the path around Holyrood, albeit it is 3.3 miles long, and one side is far steeper, but shorter than the other side, but the views of the City, from the top and side, and on clear days, Portobello harbour, the Firth of Forth, as well as the Rail and Road Bridges at Queensferry, is well worth the effort, and of course exercise!
