St. Giles' Cathedral

During the 16th-century Protestant Reformation, the fiery sermons of John Knox echoed around this imposing Gothic church. As such, it’s viewed as the cradle of Presbyterianism in Scotland. However, you don’t need to be religious to feel moved by the stained-glass Scottish Saints window or the intricate heraldic carvings of the Thistle Chapel ceiling.

    Amazing history.

Amazing history. I'm just sad at the state of the church in the UK. Most cathedrals are now museums or shops. I mean, the father of the Presbyterian Church, John Knox, is buried in it's parking lot! Beautiful building however.
