Staff were friendly and helpful and check in was easy. Our room was clean and comfortable although it did not have a view of the city. We paid for included breakfast which was a mixture of Japanese and Western food. The Hotel was also located near many restaurants but above Kyoto Station at the Skygardens had an excellent view of the city and great restaurants. What I liked the most is that we had the comfort of a normal room mixed with a traditional tatami and Japanese table. The receptionist was lovely and kind, with a high attention to details. E.g. he ordered for us a hairdryer diffuser accessory to use during our stay in the hotel. The area is very close to Kyoto station and well connected.
